organization makes sense

Family Organization

by Jo Ellen
(Bedford, Texas, USA)

When my twin girls where young, it was hard to keep up with all their activities, family activities, & chores.

A friend suggested a magnetic wipe off calendar.

We put in on the fridge and filled out all our activities for the month in colored dry-erase markers. We even put our girls names at the beginning of the week they were in charge of dishes; a real sore spot in the family.

It was easy to use for everyone; fun for the girls to write in their activities; and no arguing on chores.

Jo Ellen:

Thanks for your suggestion. Lately I have been using this as a organizational tool in the home of my elderly parents.

We have a magnetic white board where the date is recorded every day and all the activities and necessary tasks are listed for the day. A different section of the board lists the menu for the next two days.

This keeps everybody on track - even me!!

So for children or the elderly or any body who wants to stay organized a written calendar with dates and times a places really works!
