Kitchen Drawer Organizers
More Than Just Cutlery Storage Trays

When you think of kitchen drawer organizers a cutlery storage tray often comes to mind. However there are many more kitchen storage organizers that will bring order to your messy drawers.

Drawer organization in the kitchen is essential for gaining control of all the various utensils that are needed for food preparation, cooking and clean up.

You need storage in your kitchen for so many items of different sizes, shapes and configurations that finding good drawer dividers can be challenging.

I know that I am not the only person who has come home with a brand new cutlery storage tray only to find out that several of my longer kitchen utensils did not fit in there!

When purchasing organizers for kitchen drawers make sure that the organizer will fit in your drawer and that the utensils will fit in the organizer!

The depth of your drawer is an important measurement so that you can be sure the drawer dividers will fit in there and items will not jam the drawer. If you are considering using expandable drawer organizers then the width is not as important. Most kitchen drawers have an inside measurement of about 18 to 18.5 inches (46 cm) from front to back.

Try these drawer dividers as Kitchen Drawer Organizers to bring some order to your messy kitchen drawers.

My Kitchen Organization Story

On a recent kitchen cupboard re-organization mission I found a couple of old packets of dried soup mix that I realized I had to use up. Since they weren't contained in the storage box or other storage container they got lost at the back of the cupboard. But I had found them and would use them up in good time - no worries (or so I thought).

Imagine my surprise when I opened the package and found that is was completely full of egg casings from kitchen moths!

Honestly I have no idea how they got in there - the package was not ripped or leaking in any way.

BUT it does point out the importance of using kitchen organizers to contain these types of products so they don't get lost and you can use them up in a timely way.

If you cannot see it you are unlikely to plan to use it!

I also cleaned out the kitchen drawer organizers that held the large kitchen utensils and collected a lot of unused items (or duplicates). They are now sitting in a dated box waiting to be used. In six months time if they are not retrieved from the box and returned to the utensil drawer they will be donated.
