Organize it to control it. Control is the goal!I know that you are motivated and you want to set about to organize it whatever it may be. Perhaps you want to purchase lovely filing systems or neat storage containers to put stuff in. Purchasing more stuff will not lead you to control it. There is very little benefit to purchasing products that look great or sound like they might work for you if you they are not part of an overall system of control. Take the time now to explore and understand more fully how to control it before you try to categorize it, alphabetize it or otherwise manipulate it! The reason this is important is because of the first simple truth.
In his book, “It’s All Too Much”, organizing expert Peter Walsh gives countless examples of clients completely confounded as to how they ended up with cluttered homes. If you have ever watched the TV organization shows such as Clean Sweep or Mission Organization you will see and hear the same thing repeated over and over again. Your quest for organization, and the reason you are on this website is because you want to get and maintain control of your life. If you cannot control your life do you really have a life?
Without control you cannot predict results.
Without control you are victimized by your own life. Without control no order is achievable. Without control the probability of chaos increases. Without control your resources are drained just trying to keep up with the chaos. Without control stress will be your constant companion. Organization is a process that results in control. organize it vs control it..... read the story of my friend Betty who thought she was unorganized just because she had a messy cutlery drawer

All I want to do is fold!" Anyways...Just wanted to say thanks. *** |
